IRSOP survey on Bucharest election: Nicușor Dan, ranks first, followed by Piedone and Firea

​The current mayor of the Capital Nicuşor Dan ranks first in the list of options for the General City Hall, with 43%, followed by Cristian Popescu Piedone (23%), Gabriela Firea (18%), and Sebastian Burduja (4%), reveals a survey IRSOP but advertising Monday.

An Avangarde survey presented the day before, which showed a close fight between Nicușor Dan and Gabriela Firea, with a difference of only 2 percent. More precisely, Avangarde credits Nicușor Dan with 28.6% of voting intentions, Gabriela Firea with 26.5% and Cristian Popescu Piedone with 15.2%.

According to the IRSOP survey, ask which party or alliance they intend to vote for on June 9, 32% of Bucharesters said they would vote for the PSD-PNL alliance, 26% for the USR-PMP-FD alliance, 9% for PUSL, while the rest of the parties would not make the electoral threshold of 5%.

At the same time, in terms of party followers, 58% of PSD voters vote with Firea, 84% of the USR electorate votes with Nicusor Dan, etc.

Most Liberals would vote for Nicusor Dan -35%, 28% for their own candidate, Sebastian Burduja and 23% for Piedone.
AUR voters would vote the most for Firea- 30%, 15% for Piedone, 10% for Burduja and 6% for Nicusor Dan.
What are the priorities of the people of Bucharest?
Asked in which direction they think the Capital is headed, 56% of respondents said in a good direction, while 41% said a wrong one. Decongesting traffic (40%), lowering the cost of living (30%), heating (17%) and setting up green spaces/parks (13%) are the aspects considered the most important for Bucharest residents.
As for future expectations, 94 said inflation would continue to rise, while 51% said military tensions between Europe and Russia would increase.
The IRSOP survey was conducted by telephone on a sample of 900 people between May 27-31. The sampling tolerance is 3.3%.
