Las Cruces man charged with murder to be held behind bars until trial

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – A Las Cruces man, accused of stabbing and killing his neighbor, is being held behind bars. Gary Allyn was arrested after the Las Cruces Police Department found the body of Timothy White. On June 5, two people went to visit White and found him stabbed to death on the couch in Allyn’s apartment.

The state filed for pretrial detention based on the violent nature of the crime. Judge Jacquez Richard granted the state’s motion. Allyn is charged with first-degree murder.
