The trailer of the much-awaited film, From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, is finally here. Part of the iconic John Wick franchise, it showcases Ana de Armas’ Eve Macarro joining the world of assassins as a killer. As the storyline of the action thriller is causing waves, there is another aspect of the trailer that has intrigued fans: it’s the presence of the franchise’s leading man John Wick, played by Keanu Reeves. As many are aware, he died in John Wick: Chapter 4. So, how is John Wick shown to be alive in Ballerina?

John Wick is alive in Ballerina as it explores the timeline between the third and fourth chapters of the franchise.
The trailer has left fans confused when John Wick showed up. As we saw in John Wick: Chapter 4, Wick apparently succumbed to his injures in the end. Thus, fans of the action franchise were confused when they spotted him in the Ballerina trailer. This led to further speculation that Keanu Reeves‘ John Wick is still alive.
Additionally, the trailer of Ballerina has dropped many hints about its timeline. In the trailer, de Armas’ character Eve Macarro is seen performing a ballet on stage. Further, she watches in the shadows as John Wick walks down the staircase along with Anjelica Huston. Fans can easily recall this scene as part of a scene from John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. In that movie, Wick visits the theater to meet Houston’s character who plays the Director. The ballerina was seen performing on the stage at that time but as it was a small part, it was played by Unity Phelan. It will be interesting to see how the spin-off film contributes to the beloved franchise.
