Albuquerque City Council votes to expand services at Gateway Center

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque City Council decided to provide more services at the Gateway Center to help people experiencing homelessness. Chicanos por la Causa already runs Gateway West but will now be offering housing and treatment navigation services at the Gateway Center on Gibson Blvd.

The group was selected through a competitive process, and the city said CPLC’s mission statement of understanding, community-centered approach, helps ensure services are accessible. The motion passed on an 8-1 vote.
