Albuquerque man accused of murder refused transport to detention hearing

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man facing a murder charge refused transport for his detention hearing Thursday morning. Deomtray Davis is accused of shooting and killing a bystander during a fight.

According to Albuquerque police, Davis witnessed a fight near the corner of Indiana and Central. Investigators say Davis fired a shot at one of the people involved in the fight and the bulled passed through the man’s arm and hit a bystander in the head. The victim, identified as 39-year-old Brian Miller Miller, was found dead at the scene. Judge Matthew Chavez said the hearing will be rescheduled.
