ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) — A local donut shop and cafe has made Yelp’s “Top 50 donut shops in the US” list for 2025. Rise + Roast came in at #37 for the 2025 list.
Yelp describes the shop as a “bright, modern café where artisan donuts meet expertly brewed coffee.” Rise + Roast’s website says their donuts are dipped and decorated by hand. According to the shop, they’re the “freshest you can have anywhere in Albuquerque.”
Rise + Roast has two locations in Albuquerque, and one in Rio Rancho. Those locations can be found below:

The donut menu changes throughout the seasons. Until the end of May, the shop is offering cookie butter donuts, Mangonada donuts, and mochi blossom donuts The menu on the shop’s websites lists classic donut flavors, like vanilla with sprinkles, along with more unique flavors, like banana chocolate Bavarian. They also offer donut bites, and custom dozens.
The shop has a variety of coffee and tea, as well as frappes. There’s also a seasonal drink menu. Current offerings include a blueberry pie fog made of blueberry tea and milk, cotton candy matcha with blackberry cold foam, pink passion tea combining hibiscus with lemonade, and an almond joy latte.
