International pop star Cardi B teamed up with Bianca Belair in a promo video to promote the WWE SummerSlam 2025 premium live event. WWE has shaken up their show for the biggest SummerSlam party.
The recent promo featured Cardi B and Belair promoting next year’s two-night event in New Jersey on August 2 and 3. The show will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Until now, WWE only had WrestleMania as a two-night program. However, starting in 2025, fans will get to enjoy both WrestleMania and SummerSlam as a two-night spectacle. WWE is working to become more popular with everyone and teaming up with celebrities like Cardi B makes fans even more excited for their big events.
Wrestling fans are aware of the fact that Cardi B is a WWE fan. In the past, the singer has expressed her desire to attend a WWE show and has cited stars like Bautista, The Undertaker, and the late Eddie Guerrero as her favorites. After this recent collaboration between WWE and Cardi B, new reports have emerged revealing WWE’s initial plans for the international pop star.
WWE’s initial plans to feature Cardi B at SummerSlam 2021
Fightful Select behind paywall recently reported that WWE had ambitious plans for Cardi B in 2021. The promotion intended to feature her in SummerSlam, planning to use one of her songs and arrange for her appearance. However, her pregnancy announcement in June led to a postponement of those plans. WWE also reached out to Mike Tyson and Megan Thee Stallion in the same year.
Additionally, back in 2021, reports surfaced indicating that WWE had intended for her to host the biggest party of the summer. Although those plans did not come to fruition, the recent collaboration with Bianca Belair suggests a strong possibility for her appearance at WWE SummerSlam 2025 next year at MetLife Stadium. Only time will tell what happens next.
