ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office said an operation in Albuquerque made two arrests and seized 48 guns. On Wednesday, BCSO’s Auto Theft Unit and U.S. Marshals made the arrests during an operation to arrest a wanted fugitive at a home.
Uriah McAfee, 40, and 45-year-old Ruben Gonzales were arrested. McAfee was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, and Gonzales had multiple warrants out for his arrest. The case has been sent to the FBI for federal charges, and an investigation into the guns is ongoing.
