This weekend wasn’t so sweet for Brisbane fans of Take That, as last night’s show (10 November) was cancelled due to wild weather.
A day on the green made the announcement on social media in the evening, writing: “Due to the severe weather events experienced across Brisbane and South East Queensland this evening, the Take That show at Sirromet [Wines] has been cancelled.
“We are very disappointed but the safety of the artists, patrons and crew is paramount. No action is required to receive a refund. The refund will be issued to the original method of payment used at time of purchase on Ticketmaster.”
Take That shared the same statement on their Instagram Stories.

Take That: ‘I Feel Proud That We Put The Graft In’
Upon announcing the tour back in February, the band said of their return: “We are so looking forward to coming back to Australia and New Zealand later this year, our first live shows over there since 2017! And we are honoured that Sophie Ellis-Bextor will be joining us.
“It’s going to be great to see everyone again and perform the songs from our new album ‘This Life’, as well as all the favourites, and a few surprises! We can’t wait … see you all soon.”
In a review of their show at Perth’s RAC Arena, The Music’s Sam Mead remarked: “It’s a handcrafted selection box of hits spanning each era from the beginning to the present, as the band reminisces about the career highs and lows that got them to where they are today.”
Mead added, “They’ve still got the vocals, the moves, and enough swagger to pull off numerous bedazzled outfits.”
