Today (October 31), the hosts and performers for the next two SNL shows have been released. XCX took to her official Instagram account to reveal that she will be tackling the double duty slot on November 16.
“Oh fuck,” read the caption of her post which showed the signature SNL corkboard with three cards tacked on revealing the date, host and performer. Fans ran to the comment section to share their excitement.
“I know that’s right,” wrote one fan while another took the time to alter XCX’s song lyrics, writing: “365 funny girl should we do a little joke should we have a little laugh.” Singer Olly Alexander also showed his excitement in the comments section writing: “fyyyuyyyck” and music producer and audio engineer Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Vampire Weekend, Sky Ferriera) also left a comment reading: “you rule”.

The other host and performer that was announced alongside XCX’s date are Bill Burr and Mk.Gee. Burr will serve as host for the night while the ‘Are You Looking Up’ singer will be the night’s performer. They will take over the studio in Manhattan, New York on November 9.
XCX has been in full force this year following the release of the universally acclaimed album ‘Brat’ and the cultural phenomenon it became, capturing the attention of even the political sphere.
Most recently, the ‘360’ singer released her remix album ‘Brat And It’s Completely Different But Also Still Brat’. In a five-star review of the LP, NME shared that the album “is a home run for its creator, letting her finish the game on her own terms. She has perfected the art of remixing, keeping the songs moving by giving them a brand new lease of life rather than letting them exist statically in their original form.”
“Although, to her, her career “feels small in the existential scheme of it all”, as she laments in ‘I Think About It All The Time’, the bottom line is that, with her sparkling CV, she’s more than earned the high praise this album and the world around it have brought her.”
