PECOS, N.M. (KRQE) – Officials are investigating the cause of the El Macho fire on private land eight miles north of Pecos. The fire was discovered Wednesday, June 6, 2024.
The El Macho fire is estimated at 7.3 acres. Crews are responding from the Forestry Division, the US Forest Service, San Miguel County, and local volunteer fire departments.
