BASEBALL TOP 10
(Records through Monday, May 12)
1. Crespi (22-2 overall, 15-2 Mission League)
The Celts wrapped up their league championship season with 9-4 and 8-2 wins over Chaminade. They earned a first-round bye in the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.
2. Harvard-Westlake (19-9 overall, 13-4 Mission League)
The Wolverines won the home-and-home series against Loyola. James Tronstein hit a home run in a 3-1 win over the Cubs.

3. Oaks Christian (19-8 overall, 11-4 Marmonte League)
The Lions swept JSerra in a home-and-home series to finish off the regular season. Carson Sheffer and Quentin Young both homered in a 10-2 win on May 7 and James Latshaw struck out four hitters in two innings.
4. Westlake (20-8 overall, 11-4 Marmonte League)
The Warriors, who did not play last week, will travel Friday to San Clemente for the first round of the Division 2 playoffs.
5. Notre Dame (15-13 overall, 10-7 Mission League)
Notre Dame heads into the CIF-SS Division 7 playoffs after beating St. Francis 1-0 and 5-1 to finish the Mission League season. Juju Diaz-Jones threw a shutout and gave up just three hits while striking out eight.
6. Sierra Canyon (16-12 overall, 8-9 Mission League)
The Trailblazers beat Alemany by a combined score of 15-6 in two games. Head coach Tom Meusborn earned his 750th career win on May 6.

7. West Ranch (19-9 overall, 10-2 Foothill League)
The Wildcats squeezed in one more regular-season win over Dana Hills before heading into the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs. Ryan Oh went 2 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs in the 6-3 win.
8. Calabasas (17-11 overall, 7-8 Marmonte League)
Jack Quirk was the hero in a 9-8 win over El Segundo as he hit a three-run, walk-off home run to end the game.
9. Simi Valley (22-5 overall, 11-1 Coastal Canyon League)
The Pioneers secured the Coastal Canyon League title and relegated Royal to second place by beating the Highlanders in a home-and-home series. Jackson Goshorn recorded nine strikeouts and allowed three hits in a complete-game effort that gave Simi Valley a 3-2 win on May 7.
10. El Camino Real (20-8 overall, 14-1 West Valley League)
The Royals earned redemption and the West Valley League title with back-to-back shutout wins over Birmingham. Devin Gonor threw a complete game on Thursday, May 8, and struck out five batters for a 2-0 win.
