Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2, The Strangers) is officially directing the upcoming The Beast movie written by Umair Aleem (Kate). Harlin is replacing previously announced director James Madigan (The Meg), who was initially attached to helm the project.
“Having been a fan of Renny’s classic films as far back as I can remember and now helping him reteam with Sam Jackson who together created numerous audience pleasers and then adding the stunning artist that is Joel Kinnaman, I have no doubt this film will become yet another classic from this duo,” producer Keith Kjarval said in a statement.

The Beast movie is an action thriller led by Marvel vet Samuel L.
