NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – The Bureau of Land Management is looking for public input on oil and gas leases in New Mexico. A 30-day public comment period is now open for community members to respond to the state office’s plans to include 21 oil and gas leases, totaling nearly 9,000 acres.
BLM scoped the lands last month and now wants feedback on their environmental analysis before leasing the land to developers this upcoming November. Feedback will be accepted until May 21. Click here to leave feedback.
