ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque’s Freedom 4th celebration is happening from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park on Thursday, July 4. This is a free, rain-or-shine event and will include fun for the whole family including food, drinks, music, activities, and more. Alcoholic beverages will be available from local vendors at the Cantina. This is a non-smoking event.
The event will feature a full day of entertainment starting at 4:00 p.m. There will be a 4th of July ceremony at 7:30 p.m. and country artist Michael Ray will headline the event at 7:45 p.m. Fireworks are slated to begin at 9:15 p.m.

Getting there by car
Balloon Fiesta Park can be accessed off of the Southbound Frontage Road to Balloon Fiesta Parkway, San Mateo Blvd., or Balloon Museum Drive. Parking is $10. Accessible parking is available in the North and South parking lots.
Park & Ride
There will be two Park & Ride locations providing free bus service to and from the celebration. The parking area at the Northwest Transit Center (10401 Ellison NW) will be available for Westside customers.
Eastside residents can park at Coronado Center (west of Dick’s Sporting Goods on San Pedro, south of Menaul). Park & Ride services to the event will begin at 3:00 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. The last bus will leave Balloon Fiesta Park at 11:00 p.m.
Rideshare
Rideshare drivers can drop off/pick up passengers in the San Carlos Cemetery parking lot. The cemetery can be accessed eastbound on Alameda Blvd. There will be a free shuttle to the event area. Parking is not available in this lot.
Getting there by bike
Take advantage of the free bike valet provided by Esperanza Bicycle Education Center. Take the North Diversion Channel Trail to the northeast side of the Balloon Museum or take the North Diversion Channel Trail. Look for the yellow valet signs.
