Hidroelectrica has awarded the contract for providing maintenance services for the wind turbines at the Crucea Nord Wind Farm. The services, valued at 100 million RON (excluding VAT), will be carried out by Vestas CEU Romania SRL.
The five-year contract aims to guarantee the availability of Vestas V112 – 3MW MK1a wind turbines, as well as SCADA, PPC, and AEOS systems. The scope of work also includes predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance, remote monitoring of turbine operations, supply and installation of spare parts, and provision of equipment, consumables, and specialized personnel.
“Securing this contract ensures the consolidation of operational performance at the Crucea Wind Farm,” said Bogdan Badea, CEO of Hidroelectrica. “Collaborating with Vestas gives us the assurance of high-quality services and supports us in achieving efficiency and safety objectives in operating our production capacities.”
“We are committed to investing. We plan to add a Li-ion battery storage component at Crucea Nord. The nominal power of this installation will be 36 MW, with a storage capacity of 72 MWh. These are concrete steps we are taking towards hybridization and production optimization, while simultaneously strengthening existing assets by ensuring maintenance and turbine availability,” added Bogdan Badea.
The Crucea Wind Farm, with an installed capacity of 108 MW, was acquired by Hidroelectrica in 2021.
