Ukrainian metal heroes Jinjer have announced their return to Australia, locking in a tour for February 2025 with special guests Kittie.
Jinjer, favourites in Australia, and Kittie, the Canadian trailblazing nu-metal band who mounted an epic comeback this year with their first album in nearly 13 years, Fire, promise five nights of live music that will be an “unforgettable assault on the senses”.
The tour begins at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Friday, 21 February, with the bands then heading to Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, Melbourne’s Festival Hall, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall, and Perth’s Metropolis Fremantle.
The tour marks the first time Jinjer have headlined such large venues in Australia and Kittie’s first Australian dates since 2012.
Fans can find tickets and information from the Live Nation website, but here’s the breakdown:
The first pre-sale—for Mastercard customers—opens tomorrow at 10 am local time. The Live Nation pre-sale begins on Thursday, 3 October, at 11 am local time. The general sale starts at 12 pm local time on Friday, 4 October.
Jinjer were last in Australia in November and December 2022, proving to be a highlight at Good Things Festival and playing two sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney.
In a The Music review of Good Things Festival 2022 in Brisbane, writers Tim Price and Jess Wall praised Jinjer for performing an “energetic as fuck” and “the most technical set” of the day.
They added, “Big bangers Teacher, Teacher!, Pisces and Perennial all found themselves into the setlist, and the mosh began to creep back further and further as the set went on.”
Get ready to mosh in February with Jinjer and Kittie.
