ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A judge has ordered a convicted sex offender to a halfway house after breaking his conditions of release at least twice since being released from prison. Carl weatherman was sentenced to six years in prison for raping a minor in 2009. He was on supervised probation in 2020 when he was caught with child pornography, served 51 days, and got an additional 10 years of probation.
In January 2024, he was caught with child pornography again and sentenced to six months. Prosecutors asked the court to impose an additional two-year sentence, but during a hearing on Tuesday, a judge ruled he will stay in custody until a spot becomes available at La Pasada halfway house.
