Kendrick Lamar, Benson Boone Top Apple Music Replay Charts

We’re well and truly into the end-of-year wrap-up territory in the music world, with Apple Music today unveiling all the details of their Apple Music Replay feature.

Much like the highly-anticipated Spotify Wrapped feature, Apple Music Replay is the way for users to relive their listening habits of the past year.

Anyone with a subscription to the service can access the info for their year in music directly through the app, giving all the pertinent data in regard to their most-played songs, artists, and albums of 2024.

A number of expanded listening insights are also included in the wrap, offering listeners the chance to see if they’re in the top 100, 500, or even 1,000 listener count for a specific artist.

Others include listening streaks, letting you see the longest consecutive number of days you’ve played from Apple Music; replay by month, which lets you look at your habits on a month-by-month basis; and top artist streak, letting you see if you’ve had an artist as your #1 for multiple consecutive months.

Alongside all of this, users can also access their most-played songs from 2024 with Replay 2024 mix, and rediscover past habits with the Replay mix series, available for all years they have been qualifying subscribers to Apple Music.

However, one of the more interesting bits of info to coincide with the launch of Apple Music Replay is the release of the year-end charts, which sees the service revealing just which songs have been the most popular in both Australia and the wider world.

Globally, it’s been a big year for pop and hip hop, with Kendrick Lamar’s Drake-beefing Not Like Us topping the chart, directly in front of Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things and Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso.

Shaboozey’s A Bar Song (Tipsy) and Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer round out the top five, with Post Malone, Teddy Swims, Metro Boomin & Future, Billie Eilish, and Creepy Nuts capping off the top ten. Kendrick also appears twice, guesting on Like That from Metro Boomin & Future.

On Apple Music Australia, the results are similar, with a few notable exception. Benson Boone, Taylor Swift, Shaboozey, and Sabrina Carpenter launch the top four, though Noah Kahan’s Stick Season arrives to round out the top five. In fact, Kendrick’s Not Like Us has fallen all the way down to #27 for Aussie listeners.

The Aussie top ten also includes Tate McRae’s greedy, Jack Harlow’s Lovin On Me, Teddy Swims’ Lose Control, and Luke Combs’ Fast Car, though sadly, you won’t find a single local act in the top 30 this year.

Check out the charts for global and Australian listeners below.
