ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque City Council has increased security measures at its meetings.
Council President Dan Lewis revealed Wednesday that they installed metal detectors at the entrance of its chambers at the Albuquerque Government Center. Lewis said these measures are seen at the Bernalillo County building, as well as the Roundhouse in Santa Fe, and the council wanted to follow suit.
He also told KRQE News 13 the decision is not tied to any particular threat.
