ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department arrested 44-year-old Munah Green and her 17-year-old son Rickey Rogers for the fatal shooting of a man at an apartment complex in southeast Albuquerque on Thursday. A witness told APD that a group, including her family members, Green, and Rogers, was banging on the windows and door when her boyfriend, Richard Powell, confronted them outside. The group told him to open the door, and Powell told them to leave.
That’s when Green told Rogers to shoot Powell after the argument escalated. The witness said Rogers pulled a gun and shot at Powell several times. Powell fell, and that’s when Rogers moved closer to him and shot at him several more times. Powell died on scene.
Green and Rogers were both charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
