Motorcyclist dies in crash on Albuquerque’s far West Side

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are investigating a deadly crash involving two motorcycles on Albuquerque’s far West Side.

Officers responded to the crash on Thursday around 11:15 p.m. in the area of 1801 Arroyo Vista Blvd. NW. Two motorcycles were found wrecked on Arroyo Vista Boulevard north, and one of the drivers was dead at the scene.

APD’s Fatal Crash Team determined that two Honda Grom motorcycles were driving south on northbound Arroyo Vista Boulevard when the second motorcycle hit the back of the first motorcycle, which was slowing down.

Police said this caused both riders to crash and eject from their bikes. The rider in front was hospitalized with a broken leg.
