Murder suspect who opened fire on Las Vegas officers sentenced

LAS VEGAS, N.M. (KRQE) – A murder suspect who opened fire on New Mexico police officers is headed to prison. Last summer, Las Vegas Police Department officers were in the middle of a DWI stop when a black Nissan pulled up next to them and the driver said, “Is this Las Vegas?” before he fired a rifle at them. No one was hit.

This week, that driver, Robert Rudichar, was sentenced to seven years in prison. After his arrest, police learned he was wanted for a murder the day before in Pueblo, Colorado. He still faces charges in that case.
