Yugao Uzuki is a member of the Hidden Leaf Anbu division, which carries out secret missions for the good of the village. During her time in the Anbu, she served under Kakashi after replacing Itachi due to his promotion to captain at the time. Yugao joined the Anbu at a young age due to her proficiency in kenjutsu and keen sensory abilities.

She was also tasked with investigating the Uchiha massacre and was responsible for finding its lone survivor, Sasuke. Yugao was also among the anbu members who protected Tsunade during Pain’s attack. During her earlier days in Anbu, she fell in love with Hayate, her Kenjutsu instructor. His death left her with serious trauma, preventing her from participating in any form of combat.

During the Fourth Great Ninja War, she was assigned to the medical corps due to her proficiency in sealing objects into scrolls. However, things took a complicated turn as Hayate was reanimated thanks to Kabuto and forced to join the battle.

Despite her initial reluctance, Yugao was able to fight him thanks to Sakura’s choice of words and retrieve the KIA scroll. While the battle itself wasn’t as long, it carried a lot of emotion. Hayate was able to resist Kabuto’s control long enough to allow her to seal him.
