It’s Election Day. Albuquerque voters will decide Tuesday who will be the next mayor. Six candidates are vying to lead Albuquerque for the next four years. They are: Tim Keller, Mayling Armijo, Alex Uballez, Darren White, Louie Sanchez, and Eddie Varela.
If no candidate succeeds in getting 50% of the vote, a runoff election between the top two candidates will take place.
Voters in Albuquerque and Santa Fe will be casting their ballots for mayor as well as City Council members in numerous districts. Other cities and towns across the state will also be electing city officials.
The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
