ARTESIA, N.M. (KRQE) – A man from New Mexico is facing charges for illegally obtaining Alaska resident hunting privileges.
Alaska Wildlife Troopers learned that William Miller, 41, of Artesia, had obtained Alaska hunting & sportfishing licenses from 2021 to 2024 when he did not meet the definition of an Alaska resident for hunting and fishing purposes, according to officials.

Miller is facing 39 charges, including making a false statement on a license application, hunting without a guide as a non-resident, unlawful possession/transportation of game, and season and bag limits for caribou, brown bear, and goat.
His arraignment is set for April 23 in Homer Court.
