NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – A man is behind bars after New Mexico State Police said he shot and killed his father. On Sunday, NMSP responded to a home in Truchas, north of Española, where they found 44-year-old Fernando Romero shot to death.
According to state police, Romero and his son, 18-year-old Ricky Romero, got into a verbal argument, and at some point, Ricky shot and killed his father. Ricky was arrested and is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
