Individuals with outstanding warrants are encouraged to address these matters voluntarily and contact the law enforcement agency or appropriate court to which the warrant was issued from.

By taking the opportunity to resolve the warrants, individuals can get ahead of an unexpected visit from NMSP officers, according to the news release.

“Our goal is to conduct proactive warrant round-up operations statewide in order to create a safer environment for the public. I would encourage those with warrants to take care of these matters before causing unwanted disruption to their lives, especially close to this holiday season.  My officers are committed to removing law-breaking individuals from the streets, and these types of operations are one way we can do that,” New Mexico State Police Chief Troy Weisler said.
