“Feeling seen! Feeling beautiful! That is powerful.” Roadside Attractions has unveiled an official trailer for The Last Showgirl, the triumphant return of actress Pamela Anderson. The film premiered to positive reviews at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival this fall, along with screenings at San Sebastian, Zurich, Denver, Miami, and many others. The Last Showgirl, a poignant film of resilience, rhinestones and feathers, stars Pamela Anderson as Shelley – a glamorous showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run. Directed by Gia Coppola, The Last Showgirl co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis, as her best friend, who brings her own unique interpretation and brilliance to the story. The film’s cast features Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, and Billie Lourd. Plus the original song “Beautiful That Way,” sung by pop superstar Miley Cyrus. This film looks way more emotionally complex and resonant than one might expect for a story about an aging Vegas showgirl. Worth a look – stay tuned for a full trailer. // Continue Reading ›
