At Wednesday’s meeting residents asked council to delay the vote, saying they felt left out. A presentation shown on the project was meant to highlight why organizers say it’s needed. The new facility will be specifically for families. The bill authorizes the city to begin plans for the project and get more feedback from the community. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fall.
