Reasons Why I Stopped Asking on StackOverflow đŸ«

RMAG news

StackOverflow is a great source of answers to all of my questions, but I stopped asking questions. Here are 4 reasons why, and you might relate to them.

Almost every question is answered đŸ€“

Since StackOverflow started over a decade ago, it obviously contains a massive amount of answers dating back over a year or two. If you ask a question that has already been answered anyways, you’ll get -1. đŸ‘č

AI explains and corrects better đŸ€–

It’s UNDENIABLE that AI can explain and correct your problem with ease. It’s like asking an expert rather than asking a bunch of people with different levels of expertise.

Oh, you’re a beginner asking questions? Here’s a BUNCH OF DOWNVOTES. 😎😈

As a curious and beginner teenager, I’ve experienced this a lot. They either downvote you for that XY thing, or they just feel like downvoting questions.

There are alternatives đŸ€Ż

What I mean by alternatives is there are MANY of them. To name a few, it’s likely that your problem has been answered on GitHub issues, or maybe that problem exists in free courses around the internet, or maybe it has been answered on other forums.

And yes, those are the reasons why. Fun fact, the 3rd one made me deactivate my StackOverflow account. đŸ”„
