Rhythm and Roots Festival on Route 66

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – It was a great day to get out to Route 66 for the Rhythm and Roots Festival hosted by Mission Winery. The free event featured dozens of vendors, an authentic matanza, live music, and handcrafted beer and wine.

However, it wasn’t just about having fun; small businesses say events like these give them a place to get their dreams going and keep dollars local. “Having a city back small businesses and truly step forward and doing what they say they’re going to do, and helping out the small person is something that we all need and having these types of events, fresh events, bringing in new vendors and rotating vendors, giving everybody an opportunity; there’s no wrong that good come from it,” says Chris Mooney with Crackle & Creme.
