SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Santa Fe Police Department is investigating a shooting death near the downtown area Monday. SFPD says officers responded to a 911 call around 3:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting near Water St. and Don Gaspar Ave.

Police say officers arrived on scene and found a male victim who had at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. SFPD says the department’s Criminal Investigations Section was called to the scene to investigate. Police say there are no threats to the community and the investigation is active.
