ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police arrested a woman in connection to the death of a 19-year-old man following a dispute over an ATV.
Trinasha McDaniel, 34, was taken into custody on Sunday for her outstanding warrants on the following charges:
Two counts of kidnapping
Two counts of conspiracy to commit kidnapping
Two counts of tampering with evidence
Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle (previous warrant; unrelated to this case)
Witnesses told detectives the dispute started during the morning of August 24, when Christian Aragon and his friends were at a smoke shop at 118 San Pedro Dr. S.E. After purchasing items inside the smoke shop, the group of teens was hanging out and noticed McDaniel arrive with an ATV, according to police.

Witnesses told police that Aragon expressed interest in buying the ATV and wanted to take it for a test drive.
McDaniel and an acquaintance argued over whether she should sell the ATV, police said. Aragon took it for a ride, and when he did not return with the ATV, a man known as “Gucci,” later identified as Guillermo Muñoz Delgado, pointed a revolver at Aragon’s friends, according to police.
He allegedly forced them into their vehicle and ordered them to take them to the location where Aragon said the ATV broke down. Aragon’s friends told police that while they were inside the vehicle, McDaniel threatened she was going to stab them with a knife she had in her possession.
At some point, Aragon was shot by Munoz Delgado, and McDaniel was seen in surveillance footage picking up a firearm involved in the incident and fleeing the scene, police said.
Munoz Delgado was arrested by detectives on Sept. 12.
