Mountain Dew Baja Blast Gelato, a long-awaited collaboration between Taco Bell and PepsiCo Foodservice, made its nationwide debut on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
But the dessert is exclusive to Taco Bell Rewards Members in the Taco Bell app, according to a news release from the Irvine-based fast food giant. It will be available for a limited time while supplies last.
Taco Bell described the gelato as a creamy dessert with a citrus lime flavor. Its ingredients include caffeine-free Baja Blast-flavored syrup and non-fat milk. A 3½-ounce serving packs 70 calories. The price is around $3.99.
Customers are limited to four servings per order, according to the Taco Bell website.
Taco Bell tested the gelato a year ago at a drive-thru in Irvine. It was one of the many items Taco Bell executives announced in February at a fan event in Las Vegas.
