Known for its fire-baked focaccia breads, sandwiches and hearty salads, Urbane Cafe just opened its latest location in Long Beach.
The family-owned fast casual cafe opened its 35th location at Long Beach Exchange on March 8 and it will be offering food specials to locals this month.

March 18-19 is Healthcare Appreciation Day where local healthcare workers can get a free sandwich, salad or bowl by signing up at urbanecafe.com. Then on March 25-26 it’s Teacher and Staff Appreciation Day when teachers and the education staff can get the same deal by also signing up at the restaurant’s website.
Local first responders including law enforcement, fire personnel, active military and veterans can also get a free sandwich, salad or bowl through April 4 by showing their service ID or by coming in in uniform.
Besides sandwiches, salads and bowls, Urbane Cafe, which was launched in Ventura more than 20 years ago, also serves craft sodas, house-made lemonades, and housed-baked cookies.
Urbane Cafe at LBX is at 4001 N. Lakewood Blvd. Suite 100, Long Beach. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.
