NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Drier weather returns to New Mexico today, but it is a cold start to the day! A Freeze Warning is in effect for parts of Sandoval, Bernalillo, Valencia, Socorro, Guadalupe, and DeBaca counties in New Mexico, along with parts of Montezuma and La Plata counties in Southern Colorado, where low temperatures are down to around freezing. More seasonable weather moves in by this afternoon, though with highs back to around average and sunny and calm conditions.

Warm temperatures will stick around every day this upcoming week, with dry conditions in the western half of the state. Moisture will start to work its way into eastern New Mexico on Tuesday, bringing daily, isolated thunderstorm chances through the end of the week.
