NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – WalletHub recently released its study on the best and worst cities in the U.S. to raise a family. To compile the list, WalletHub compared 182 cities based on 45 different metrics. The metrics include cost of housing, quality of schools, recreation opportunities, safety ranking, healthcare ranking and more.
Two New Mexico cities landed on the list, both ranking in the bottom half of cities. Albuquerque ranked 120th and Las Cruces ranked 157th overall. In individual metrics Albuquerque ranked 36th in family fun and 179th in health and safety. Las Cruces ranked 29th and 166th in those same individual metrics.
