Fans want to know who Lana Del Ray’s husband, Jeremy Dufrene, is all about after the pair got reportedly married. The marriage itself wasn’t too surprising despite Del Ray denying rumors of a romantic relationship with Dufrene. The couple obtained a marriage license on September 23, as confirmed by PEOPLE, and they only had 30 days to get married before it expired. The newlyweds revealed their whirlwind romance to the public earlier in September when they attended Karen Elson’s wedding in New York City, so the road down the aisle has been blazingly fast.
Who is Lana Del Ray married to?
Lana Del Ray is married to Jeremy Dufrene, a 49-year-old airboat captain who works at Airboat Tours by Arthur in Des Allemands, Louisiana.
Dufrene is a father who has three children with his ex-wife Gina, as noted by The Daily Mail. He lived much of his life in Des Allemands in a four-bed, four-bath home worth around $340,000.
According to his short biography on the official Airboat Tours by Arthur website, he used to work “at a chemical plant working 7 days a week and shrimping on vacation days.” But his family convinced him to change gears and earn a captain’s license to start running tours. He has worked as an airboat captain for the family-owned business at least since 2015.
His bio also says that “he loves interacting with wildlife and customers,” with a few of them being celebrities other than Lana Del Ray. Pictures from his Instagram account, as revealed by The Daily Mail (as his account is understandably set to private at the time of writing), show that he has been a tour guide for Emma Roberts, Kate Hudson, Glen Powell, and more. They also show Dufrene bravely encountering alligators throughout his tours, sometimes hand-feeding them raw chicken.
Del Ray first posted pictures of Dufrene as far back as March 2019 on her Facebook account, with the playful caption, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours x.” In response, Dufrene wrote on his Instagram “I never know who I can run across on my tours buy always a pleasure.” The singer-songwriter also promoted the tour by posting a picture of its business sign, phone number, and storefront.
Since the wedding, Del Ray has changed her Instagram handle to “honeymoon” and writes on her profile that “Honeymoon is alive and breathing.”
She will be one of the main featured singers at the country music Stagecoach festival in 2025.
