On June 10, 2024, Sweet Home Actor Jung Jin-Young and TWICE’s Dahyun shared pictures of the two filming their upcoming K-movie, You Are the Apple of My Eye. The movie is a Korean adaptation of a Taiwanese coming-of-age romance film of the same name. Last month, multiple news outlets reported that the two were in talks to star in the movie. Finally, the leads confined their casting as they shared pictures of filming and photoshoots on their respective social media handles, causing chaos amongst their fans.
You Are the Apple of My Eye follows the journey of two individuals who are complete opposites. While one causes trouble in school, the other focuses on studies. They meet in school and gradually end up falling for each other. Meanwhile, the original Taiwanese film also had a Japanese remake of the same name, released in 2018.

Recently, Sweet Home actor Jung Jin-Young and TWICE’s Dahyun gave their fans a pleasant surprise. The duo shared pictures from their upcoming film, You Are the Apple of My Eye. The Korean adaptation of the Taiwanese original movie doesn’t have a release date yet, as the two actors have only begun filming. Furthermore, these photos confirm the casting of these two stars, given that they were in the middle of discussions last month.
In the pictures, the two actors are in school uniforms, posing in a school setting. They are sitting on their respective benches, with books and pens beside them. Another picture spots them looking lovingly at each other, teasing a romantic moment between their characters. Furthermore, STUDIO TAKE and Jayuro Pictures, the production companies of the Korean remake, announced that filming began earlier this month.
The Taiwanese movie follows the journey of two individuals – troublemaker Ko Ching-Teng and model student Shen Chia Yi. Ching-Teng and his friends all have a crush on the same girl, Chia-Yi. However, the latter remains focused on studies. When circumstances lead her to cross paths with Ching-Teng, the two gradually fall in love. For the Korean adaptation, TWICE’s Dahyun will play Seon-Ah (Chia-Yi’s character), while Jin-Young will portray Jin-Woo (Ching-Ten’s character).
Jung Jin-Young returns to the big screen after the 2019 movie, The Dude in Me. Meanwhile, TWICE’s Dahyun will be making her acting debut in the sports film Sprint.
