The body of a female infant, approximately one day old, was found inside a Woodland Hills home on Tuesday, July 23, Los Angeles Police Officer Tony Im said.

An investigation is underway.

Officers have interviewed a 23-year-old woman who turned up at a hospital in need of medical care. After speaking with the woman at the hospital, police went to her residence in the 23200 block of Burbank Boulevard, where the infant girl was found dead, Im said late Tuesday night.
