2 migrants rescued out in desert by Sunland Park Fire

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Sunland Park Fire Department assisted two migrants who had been out in the desert Sunday night, June 23, according to the Fire Department.

The Fire Department says they located the migrants after an engine was flagged down off Highway 9 in Sunland Park.

The Fire Department says the migrants had been out in the desert for about 12 hours and had not eaten. They were also dehydrated.

Border Patrol then took them into custody, according to the Fire Department.

No further information has been released.
