ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An ABQ BioPark continues to make hearts flutter. In February, KRQE News 13 covered two critically endangered species from the Island of Bali who were courting each other. Now, two baby Bali myna have hatched from parents Pozole and Maza.
Bali myna are a critically endangered species. Experts estimate there are only 60 mature adult birds remaining in the wild which is an improvement from 2001’s all-time low of only six. The BioPark said both parents have found true love as Bali myna are known to form long-term monogamous relationships.
