Huge Scandal at Saga Festival in Bucharest, Hardwell Cancels Show

One of the most anticipated artists from the first day’s line-up of the Saga Festival at Romaero, Bucharest, canceled his set in front of the fans.

Dutch DJ Hardwell has canceled his long-awaited show by fans due to technical problems and accused organizers of not being paid.

“I’m here, I’ve traveled all the way from Holland to perform for you. I’m here, that’s what I’m telling you. To be honest, this shitfest didn’t pay me a shit to be here tonight but I’m still here and their gear sucks. Nothing works. If I’m here it means I want to perform for you, but the whole equipment is letting me down. I can’t perform, it’s impossible for me to do that”, said Hardwell to the fans who were eagerly waiting for him in Bucharest.
In retort, the organizers said that they were willing to solve any kind of problem precisely so that the artist could perform without problems.

“Well, Hardwell, we’re sorry that Rita Ora, Sickick, Loreen, and all the DJs on five other stages got to play on the first day of SAGA and you didn’t.
The equipment traveled all the way from the Netherlands, just like you. The same set seems to be working perfectly fine for Will Sparks right now.
We’ve worked so hard to build this year’s SAGA for our artists and ravers. We would’ve solved any technical issues effortlessly and fast, if you would’ve let us and not stopped your set so soon. We’ve done all we could to accommodate your requests, including agreed payments.
We’re sorry to (y)our fans. They would have loved to finally watch you perform in Bucharest.
Nothing but love, and we wish you well. SAGA,” the organizers replied on Facebook.
45,000 spectators in the first Saga day
On July 5, Saga Festival opened its doors to 45,000 fans with an innovative line-up and stages, setting the tone for a weekend full of fun and music for all tastes. Rita Ora, the British artist famous for her energy and stage show, declared on stage, to the excitement of all the fans, that Saga was the best show she had this year.

Raye, an artist who blends pop, R&B, and dance styles with influences from electronic and urban music, and the winner of six British Awards this year alone (a record for any artist), came to Romania for the first time. DJ sets from Artbat, James Hype, and Cleptone, three distinct DJs and producers took to the stage on July 6. Romanian bands such as Killa Fonic, Mihail, Paraziții, and The Motans also performed on the Saga stage on July 6.

Nicki Minaj, the queen of rap music, is the headliner this year and will perform on Sunday, for the first time in Romania, at Saga. The artist marks a premiere in Eastern Europe, adding Romania to the list of countries where she will perform during the famous “PINK FRIDAY 2 WORLD TOUR” and promises an unforgettable experience for SAGA festival fans.

Armin van Buuren closes the last day of the festival as a headliner, alongside the artists Dennis Lloyd, Dyen, Nico Moreno, Paco Osuna, Suz Zero Project and other bands that festival goers are eagerly waiting for.
