Phish will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, July 11. The Vermont foursome’s impending slot on the New York-based late-night talk show will take the form of entertainer/musical guest and serves as their latest move to promote the imminent release of their 16th studio album, the highly anticipated Evolve, due mere hours after the NBC curtain call, Friday, July 12.

The group’s return to the late-night program comes after their previous appearance as musical guest on Oct. 10, 2016, while elevating interest in the Sigma Oasis prelude, 2016’s Big Boat. Notably, Trey Anastasio did take part in the program during a 2020 pandemic-era move in support of his solo LP, Lonely Trip–where he tapped the show’s house band, The Roots, for assistance on “I Never Needed You Like This Before.”

Following Phish’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, they will return to the road for summer 2024 tour stops, including three nights at Xfinity Center on July 19 through 21, Mohegan Sun (July 23 and 24), three nights at Alpine Valley in East Troy, Wis., and more stops, leading to the much-anticipated Mondegreen gathering in Dover, Del., on Aug 15 through 18.
