Warrant issued for woman tied to Albuquerque police shooting suspect

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for a woman tied to a suspect in a police shooting earlier this year. Police say in April, Joey Whtie pointed a gun at officers during a foot chase near Central and Louisiana and an officer shot at him.

They say White threw that gun away and claimed it was a BB gun. The next day, police found a fully loaded nine millimeter in a nearby yard.

According to the warrant, investigators say Anna Herandez-Gonzalez claimed to be White’s wife and tried to get his “property” from the yard. They say White also called Herandnez-Gonzales from jail the night of the shooting and told her that police had not yet found the gun and to look in the yard. She’s now facing charges for attempted evidence tampering.
