ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the death of an eight-year-old boy. Family members told police the boy became pinned under a car when someone was changing a tire at a gas station in northwest Albuquerque shortly after midnight.
An employee at the gas station tried to help while nearby drivers stopped as well. A group of people were able to lift the vehicle off the boy. He was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.
APD’s Crimes Against Children Unit is investigating the boy’s death. No one has been charged.
