Public input is open from October 1 – November 3. The environmental assessment involves two options for implementing a wildland fire management program. One alternative includes a suppression-oriented program where all human caused and naturally ignited fires would be suppressed and prescribed fires would not be allowed. A second alternative would include a multiple strategy program. Under this alternative all human caused fires would be suppressed, naturally ignited fires would be allowed to burn under specific circumstances and prescribed fires would be allowed with an approved plan.
