Deadpool’s ‘Brown Sky’ ideas for new Disneyland attractions

Deadpool has floated a few “Brown Sky” ideas for improving Disneyland with his brand of comic book action and R-rated comedy following the success of his latest superhero film with Wolverine and his recent jam-packed appearances at the Anaheim theme parks.

The Merc with the Mouth presented his proposals for new roller coasters, dark rides, nighttime spectaculars and character meet-and-greets directly to Disney Parks Chairman Josh D’Amaro during the recent D23 fan expo in Anaheim.

“Let’s just Brown Sky a little bit,” Deadpool said from the Honda Center stage during D23 in August.

“It’s Blue Sky,” D’Amaro protested as he went along with the comedic bit.

“Not when I’m done with it,” Deadpool said.

Deadpool’s proposals included the Chimichanga Coaster — named for one of his favorite foods.

“It’s a dueling coaster attraction where you are the beef,” Deadpool said at D23.

Deadpool’s Heck House would serve as a seasonal overlay on the Haunted Mansion — much like “The Nightmare Before Christmas” takeover during Halloween and Christmas.

Riders would pass through a “Hall of Baby Arms” in a spooky room filled with baby bottles, pacifiers and rattles.

Concept art for Deadpool’s Heck House showed a tombstone for the short-lived Rocket Rods ride and a Madame Leota-like crystal ball with Deadpool’s head floating inside.

The logo for the ride overlay featured spiked bats, chainsaws and cans of gasoline.

Deadpool offered an update to “Fantasmic” with himself cast in the role of the Maleficent animatronic dragon that infamously burst into flames during a performance.

The wisecracking Marvel super hero promised the revamped nighttime spectacular on Disneyland’s Rivers of America would “melt your mind.”

The morally ambiguous, mentally unstable and innuendo-laden anti-hero even had an idea for a new RunDisney event.

“If you love the Princess Run and the Villains Run, now you can get ready for Logan’s Run,” Deadpool said at D23.

The Canadian-born, Nickelback-defending professional killer planned to use the RunDisney event to belittle his frenemy and “Deadpool & Wolverine” co-star.

Concept art for Logan’s Run showed a snail and a mother pulling a wagon with three kids dressed in Deadpool costumes moving faster than the sweating mutant with retractable claws. Signs in the crowd lining the race route called Wolverine the “Worst Showman” and a “Disappointment to Australia” — digs intended for Wolverine star Hugh Jackman.

The logo for Logan’s Run depicted a lounging Wolverine with a massive beer belly.

The Brown Sky presentation also included concept art of Deadpool dressing up as Aurora from Disney’s “Sleeping Beauty” in a pink princess dress — presumably for meet-and-greet opportunities with theme park visitors.

The final piece of concept art in Deadpool’s D23 presentation featured his distinctive red and black masked face at the center of a fireworks display — serving as a “kiss goodnight” at the parks.

D’Amaro wasn’t interested in Deadpool’s pitches.

“I appreciate whatever all this is, but the answer is no,” D’Amaro said at D23. “It’s not going to happen.”

Walt Disney Imagineering confirmed later in the D23 presentation that none of Deadpool’s Brown Sky ideas were in the Blue Sky development phase at the secretive creative arm of the company.

Hopefully Imagineering has some plans of its own for introducing more of the wildly popular Deadpool into Disney theme parks.

The “Story Time with Deadpool” show next to Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure drew jam-packed crowds. Deadpool and Wolverine also took part in the “Awesome Dance Off” outside the Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout drop tower ride.
