On Wednesday, Oct. 2, Robert Glasper returned to New York City’s Blue Note Jazz Club for Robtober 2024, the latest edition of his annual residency at the extol live music venue. Running on two-show a two-show-a-night format, the extensive run of shows comes on the heels of Glasper’s latest LP release, Code Deviation.
Last night’s double bill included a rousing roster of talent. Glasper performed on the Blue Note stage alongside a coveted lineup of musicians like Justin Tyson, Burniss Travis, Isaiah Sharkey, and Jahi Sundance, intertwining modes of jazz, R&B, and soul.
The aptly titled Robtober Season Six resumes tonight with more live entertainment from the bandleader, with special guests s Raye, Questlove, Common, Andra Day, Doobie Powell, Little Brother, Chris Dave, Derrick Hodge, DJ Jahi Sundance, Stokley, and more. Nightly showtimes are slated for 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. through Nov. 3. Tickets remain on sale. Follow this link to purchase.
